To be perfectly honest, I'm definitely one who would tell someone straight to their face if they really suck. Not that I'm living the life of danger here, putting my neck on the line if someone doesn't appeal to me. I can be tolerant but not likely.
But here, I give in and I'll tell you guys when someone really borders on godlike. I saw this profile on Friendster. I'm not going to say who cause some people may know him. Picture this: Junior College student.
Whoa, yes, nothing fantastic. Doesn't take a genius to get into JC, just the willpower and stamina. But read on: He's not much older than me (I'm 17+/18) perhaps by a couple of months. He's on his school's swim team. The *good* division mind you. He doesn't drink or smoke. Yes, I know what you are thinking. So what's special?
Next, he's a fairly good musician. Nothing too spectacular. But how many of us can say we can play a regular mainstream instrument like a guitar as well as a school military band instrument? Also, he attends church regularly, works off as a life skill instructor and also triples up as a tutor and trainer for other activities. Sweet Jesus! This guy can definitely sell his skills well! So why not he just get lost and help poor children in some impoverished country? No wait, says here he does that too! Is this dude human? All I can say is, if he really does do what he says he can, I respect his mad skills. If he's a really good gamer then heck it, I'm getting off this damn planet.
*But check this part out:*
"Less than three, Claire. (Blog Entry, Part 2)" So we all know I'd do anything for the most adorable girl I know. And perhaps I probably will. Remember this, when you see my school work really start to shine, you can bet its Claire's influence over my mood that's causing it. And you know, to heck with skills and work comparison. Cause I know I have a goal to keep that girl smiling and happy. Whatever it takes to get to that goal, I'm doing it.
(Less than three? What's up with that?) (Less than = <) (Three = 3) (Less than three = <3) Fun fact.
Archives October 2008November 2008 a dream for Claire : [2008] is a music/sound project started mid-year. I won't play instruments nor will I record songs. What I do is to work on, improve or to just draft out beats that make your feet tap and your heart sing. (This blog as nothing to do with the project, I just have no other name for it.)
This blog's theme and overall feel is based on the song "Unknown Soldier" by Breaking Benjamin, especially the chorus line, "Show me what its like, to dream in black and white." I like that line cause of its simplicity. "Dream in black and white", not something everyone can do. It is to make everything that is complex seem so simple and easy to understand. And that's what I learn from Claire, to dream in black and white.
